Silicone Implants

More and more women are turning to breast augmentation procedures to feel more beautiful and have fuller, firmer looking breasts. In the world of fashion and beauty, fuller breasts are among the many things people consider to be beautiful. This is the reason why more women turn to breast augmentation to get their desired effect. In the world of plastic surgery, silicone implants are the most popular type of fillers for enhancing breasts.

Why do some women go for silicone implants? The reasons tend vary from correcting a problem caused by childbirth or mastectomy to overcoming lifelong insecurities. Most women feel that their breasts are oddly-shaped, too small or unbalanced and so to get a confidence boost they opt to go under the knife.

There are two types of fillers. There are saline implants and silicone implants. The latter is more expensive but it said that it gives a more natural feel and look when compared to saline. Saline implants tend to be more adjustable and harder compared to silicone implants.

So what are the advantages of using silicone implants? As mentioned earlier, these feel more real. It is made up of a honey-like material which feels more like fat rather than gel. Saline implants, on other hand, are water based.

The silicone variety of implants are also safer compared to saline since they are less likely to leak. It is a non-toxic, non-reactive substance that will not harm your body should the implants leak. Bear in mind, however, that they also need to be replaced from time to time since it is prone to leaks and may result in it getting absorbed by the body causing another surgery.

Silicone implants are also more expensive compared to saline. Expect to pay anywhere from $2,000 to $2,400 for each implant. Also, this type of operation is not covered by insurance since it is considered more of a cosmetic procedure rather than a medical one so make sure that you are prepared to pay the price for a silicone type of implant.

Breast augmentation is not for everybody so make sure that before choosing silicone implants you have consulted your surgeon for the possible side effects. You may be allergic to silicone so get a thorough medical exam first before undergoing breast augmentation procedure.

It will take time for your breast implants to heal so during the recovery period wear only recuperative bras. Healing time usually lasts for six months or more depending on the patient. The more that she follows post-operative care reminders as given by the physician, the faster the recovery period will be.

May it be silicone implants or saline it is best to ask yourself if you will gain any satisfaction from having the procedure done. Safety is also a primary consideration so make sure that before, during and after the operation certain precautions are observed. Make sure that you are in the right health for this type of operation and that you prepare yourself for the after effects of the operation and the amount of time needed for recovery.

Learn 5 Successful Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Treatments

Lots of times it is the soldier or cops who tend to be afflicted with post traumatic stress disorder because they witness bloodshed almost on a daily basis. In general, any event that causes someone to feel so overwhelmed physically, mentally and emotionally can definitely experience post-traumatic stress disorder.

This disorder is definitely degrading to one's self-esteem and character.

Some of the more common symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder is anger and rage. When a loved one is going through post traumatic stress disorder, give them lots of slack in terms of holding them accountable for their actions as they are not thinking clearly. PTSD, when left untreated, can lead to insanity or even death.

Here is a list of treatment options that can serve as your guide:

1. Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy:
What is so great about this particular post traumatic stress disorder treatment is that it actually exposes the patient to the very same stressors that actually brought on the PTSD. This is extremely benefitial in that it allows the person with post traumatic stress disorder to be able to deal directly with the trigger points and the causes of PTSD in their own lives.

2. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing:
Usage of cognitive behavioral techniques like eye movements and tapping sounds is the central element of this particular post-traumatic stress disorder treatment. In order to retrain your brain and get it working correctly, they use what's commonly called the freezing technique to be able to better handle bad memories and stressful thoughts.

3. Family therapy:
Those that include family therapy when trying to overcome post traumatic stress disorder have had the best success over the long term. This is important because the patients relatives, friends, and other loved ones are also affected by the disorder. The wonderful thing about family therapy is that it allows family members and friends to be able to connect on much deeper levels which allows healing to happen much much quicker. That way, a better solution to minimize the harmful effects of PTSD will be figured out.

4. Medication:
Your doctor may even decide to give you some drugs so that you can start living a somewhat more healthy life. Given that, we now know that drugs never ever heal anybody from anything. They only help to alleviate the symptoms of problems leaving the actual cause unhealed.

5. Avoiding non-prescribed drugs and alcohol:
It's important to note that non prescription drugs and alcohol will only make your symptoms worse and may even cause irreparable harm. Drugs can also alter one's line of thinking and may subject the patient to more stress and anxiety. Alcohol may cause the patient to forget the memories or thoughts associated to the trauma, but this is only temporary. Avoiding alcohol and drugs completely when one has PTSD will definitely help the patient to achieve full recovery.

Alcohol and Your Health

I guess this is for my younger audience of viewers/subscribers. Hey I still like to consider myself relatively young. You know my grandpa is almost like 100 years old, and he always told me "You're as young as you feel". I always liked that, especially when it's coming from a guy who's in his 90's and has as much energy as the roadrunner. You know, he's right though. Anyway, speaking of something that can shave a couple years off our own life expectancies. That's right guys, partying.

Maybe you're still young, or maybe you're still wild, either way, stay cautious with this one. I mean if you smoke cigarettes that's another thing, but if you drink in excess on a regular basis, no good no good no good. I think in our country, alcohol and cigarettes kill more people than anything else, especially if you combine their yearly fatalities. Now that's a statistic if I ever saw one. Now I'm not saying if you party a lot you're going to die, noooo. What I am saying is that it can affect your bodies composition and overall health all in due time. I guess what I'm recommending is that you pace yourself in this scene. Remember, everything in moderation. That's a phrase we've heard countless times throughout all our lives, but it's true to the core.

If you're going to drink, but you don't want to pack on those calories, stay away from all those thick and creamy dark lagers. If you want to smoke, um, well I don't have any advice here. Well I guess it all depends on what it is we're talking about. For all those cannabis users out there, hey that's fine, whatever floats your boat. But the same philosophy behind smart partying still applies even with cannabis use, everything in moderation. Getting completely drunk or whacked out of your skull is something of the past for most of us, but for some reason we're tempted to go back to it every once and a while huh? Yeah I know, hey me too. Just try not to forget about the repercussions, and then you'll completely reassess the night even before it begins.

I would say drinking is the worst thing for your system. It can ruin your liver, and not only affect the interior, but skew your exterior. I mean, making decisions' that you'd normally never make sober. That's my biggest complaint with it. Otherwise, hey I love drinkin' just as much as the next guy. However, I save my gulping reflex usually for the weekends. I encourage this behavior because it can be fun, but I don't condone anything party related in excess, well except maybe sex. Haha! No I'm just playing around, but I digress.

Tread softly is all I'm saying, work hard, play harder is another expression I've heard that can work in some lights. Drinking hard all the time because you have a highly demanding job doesn't get the checkmark on my list. Maybe something more along the lines of staying out with friends until the sun comes up is a better example. Just remember, you don't have a lot of dialogue with your body, so when you're putting it through a party themed obstacle course, it won't tell you what's wrong until it's already too late. And when it tells you, it won't with a dialogue, but with gargles, cramps, and uncontrollable projectile vomiting. Just something I wanted to bring into perspective for you guys.
