Side Effects of Using Hormonal Birth Control

If you are a sexually active person and want to avoid pregnancy you should really consider starting using birth control pills if you have not already. If you start using them you will only have a .5% chance of getting pregnant which almost is none. Hormonal birth control pills are the most common and it might have some side effects on the person who use them. One thing you really need to know is that just because you are using the pills won't make you immune to sexual transferred diseases which is too bad.

When someone is using birth control they are most likely using hormonal birth control which mixtures with the hormones and it prevents the women from getting their ovulation.

There are some side effects as I said before and here is a short list of side effects:
- Weight gain (Because of more appetite)
- Breast pain
- Acne
- Decreased sexual lust
- Depression
- Anguish

What a lot of people don't know is that there is a really small risk of getting blood clot but the risk for getting it is so small so it's not something to worry about. The chance of getting it is actually higher if you are pregnant than if you are using the pills which might be a relief to some. Also the longer you have used the pills the smaller the risk of you getting blood clot, so if you used it for over six months you are most likely completely safe.
